Product Description

The exceptional strength of the carbon-fluorine bond and a high molecular weight give PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene), or more widely termed as Teflon, a set of outstanding properties. Such properties include wide temperature use range of -180°C to +250°C. Teflon is resistant to virtually all corrosive chemicals and is suitable for almost all chemicals with the exception of fluorine, some fluorochemicals and molten alkali metals. The material is also recognised as remarkable in its resistance to flame. It is classified as a non-flammable material in air.
