PVC (PolyVinyl Chloride)

 PVC Properties

  • High mechanical strength
  • Good machining ability
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Low water absorption
  • Good insulation properties
  • High hardness and rigidity

Product Description

PVC (PolyVinyl Chloride) is a thermoplastic made of 57% chlorine (derived from industrial grade salt) and 43% carbon (derived predominantly from oil / gas via ethylene). It is less dependent than other polymers on crude oil or natural gas, which is non-renewable, and hence can be regarded as a natural resource saving plastic. PVC has high hardness, mechanical properties, tensile strength and the continuous operating temperature is from -15C to +60C. The mechanical properties enhance with the molecular weight increasing, but decrease with the temperature increasing.
